The Chinese Library Series is a collection divided into 6 different levels. The books of this serie use legends, myths, traditional tales or classics of Chinese literature, but adapted so that Chinese language students can easily read them and at the same time, learn about Chinese culture and history.
The Monkey King and Princess Iron Fan belongs to the elementary level (600 words) of the collection. At the end of the book, there is and index with words translated into English and a CD in which the tale is narrated to practice listening comprehension. This book also has full color drawings to make study time more enjoyable.
