Smart Cat is a serie of reading books mainly targeted to teenagers between 10 and 18 years old who are currently studying Chinese. The serie is divided in 5 different levels: The first one is the easiest one and the fifth is the most complex. The Apples of love belongs to the first level of the serie 

The main idea of the serie is to show interesting stories that can be complemented by using audio materials to practice listening comprehension. The access to this materials can be found in a QR Code in the back cover of the book and also at the beginning of this file. Each story also contains other materials such as vocabulary lists, activities and the whole story translated. 

In addition, the serie  Smart Cat is an great way to prepare the HSK test, because it contains characters and grammar from the first level of this exam.
