Detailed Contents: The 10 Volumes Included
This second box set covers, in chronological order, the following ten classic albums, with the heroes now travelling across much of the ancient world:
Volume 1: Asterix and Cleopatra (阿斯特克斯与埃及女王的任务 / n°11) — Cleopatra bets Julius Caesar that her people can build a magnificent palace in just three months. She entrusts the work to the architect Edifis who, to save his skin, turns to his old friend the druid Getafix. Asterix, Obelix and the druid travel to Egypt and, with the magic potion, overcome the sabotage of a rival architect and Caesar's own scheming.
Volume 2: Asterix and the Chieftain's Shield (首领之盾 / n°12) — After Vercingetorix's defeat at Alesia, his shield vanishes and passes from hand to hand. Years later, chief Vitalstatistix, suffering from a liver complaint, is sent to take the waters at a spa in the Auvergne. Meanwhile, Caesar wants to get hold of the legendary shield to celebrate a triumph. Asterix and Obelix set out to find it before the Romans do.
Volume 3: Asterix and the Cauldron (阿斯特克斯与存钱锅 / n°13) — A greedy neighbouring Gaulish chief entrusts Asterix with a cauldron full of coins to hide it from the Roman taxman. When the money disappears overnight, Asterix is banished from the village in disgrace and must raise the lost sum by his own means, having all sorts of adventures to win back his honour.
Volume 4: Asterix in Spain (阿斯特克斯在西班牙 / n°14) — Caesar takes young Pepe, the unruly son of a Spanish chief still resisting Rome, as a hostage. The boy ends up in the care of Asterix and Obelix, who must return him to Spain. The journey is complicated not only by the pursuing Romans but by little Pepe's unbearable temper.
Volume 5: Asterix and the Roman Agent (离间计 / n°15) — Caesar sends a master of intrigue to the Gaulish village, an expert in sowing discord. Through pure "psychological warfare" he turns the villagers against one another, making them believe Asterix has sold out to the Romans to reveal the secret of the potion. Can Asterix prove his innocence and restore the village's unity?
Volume 6: Asterix in Switzerland (阿斯特克斯在瑞士 / n°16) — The corrupt Roman governor of Condate, who pockets the taxes, poisons an inspector sent from Rome. The druid Getafix agrees to prepare the antidote, but he needs a flower that grows only on the snowy peaks of Helvetia (Switzerland). Asterix and Obelix set off to find it, dodging the Romans' traps.
Volume 7: The Mansions of the Gods (神仙居 / n°17) — To crush Gaulish resistance, Caesar decides to "civilise" the village by surrounding it with a luxurious Roman housing estate, "The Mansions of the Gods." Starting by refusing to let the forest be cut down, the villagers must find ways to sabotage the project and drive off the new Roman tenants.
Volume 8: Asterix and the Laurel Wreath (凯撒的桂冠 / n°18) — During a family meal, Vitalstatistix quarrels with his brother-in-law and boasts that he will season a stew with none other than Caesar's laurel wreath. To make good on the boast, Asterix and Obelix travel to Rome, determined to snatch the laurels from the emperor's very head.
Volume 9: Asterix and the Soothsayer (神算师 / n°19) — On a stormy night, a mysterious figure wrapped in a wolfskin arrives at the village: a soothsayer. Despite Asterix's warnings, the villagers fall one by one under his spell. When the soothsayer prophesies the village's doom, the situation turns dangerous.
Volume 10: Asterix in Corsica (阿斯特克斯在科西嘉 / n°20) — Asterix and Obelix help a proud Corsican prisoner escape and accompany him back to his native island. There they become caught up in the rivalries between Corsican clans and in the struggle against the Roman governor.
