    Romance of the Three Kingdoms is one of the four great novels of ancient China written in the middle of XVIII century. It is considered a masterpiece of Chinese literature. 

    The story is focused in Chinese politics and diplomatic conflicts of ancient China.  This book is a short version of the original novel and contains 21 stories with approximately 3000 characters. Each of the narrations uses the characters of HSK 5 exam, so this reading is a great method to practice for the exam. 

    Each of the stories contains an introduction written in English to make easier the whole understanding of the texts. 

    All stories contain pinyin. 

    The book also includes a card to hide pinyin, so that readers have to read only Chinese characters.

All the stories are limited to the 2,500 characters required by HSK Level 5. A "pinyin-invisible card" is provided so that readers who want to read the stories without referring to pinyin can cover it.
