Learning Mandarin Chinese Characters Vol. 1 is divided in 12 units. Each of them presents characters to study and learn at the same time. 

Each character is presented in a very simple way and there is a diagram that shows how to write each stroke. There is also an explanation fo how to pronounce each word and also examples of those words.  

At the end of each lesson, students can review what it has been learnt. Solutions are also included at the end of the book.
