Chinese for Western Medicine - Reading and Writing

Chinese for Western Medicine belongs to the series “Specialized Chinese Textbooks for Foreigners Studying in China”, a collection especially designed for international students on pre-university programmes in China.

The underlying idea of this series is that students who are to study a degree in China should first study Chinese for Western Medicine to thus create a linguistic base and build up some knowledge before starting their degree. The book is also most useful for students who wish to acquire Chinese vocabulary for medicine.

Chinese for Western Medicine – Reading and Writing includes 15 units that deal with our circulatory system, Alzheimer’s disease and our digestive system, among others. Each unit provides students with three texts of increasing difficulty, as well as a glossary in English with the most complicated words.

This is a learning resource suitable for intermediate level students who can read Chinese without pinyin. Only the work instructions for the exercises and some of the vocabulary are in English.
