Nota del autor:
This book has been written primarily for those who are learning Chinese as a second language.
I am grateful to my students because the publication of this book should first attribute to my students, who frequently ask questions on the Internet Chinese. The problems they ran into while surfing on the Internet ranged over a wide field. I was, of course, very happy to answer my student’s questions in or after class; meanwhile, I thought that the students of Chinese as a second language were really in need of a handbook on the Internet Chinese. Therefore, in order to help more students, I decided to log on to as many websites useful to my students as possible and to find out more questions my students could possibly run into. This is how this book is coming up.
There are two parts in this book. The first part introduces the internet-related basic technological knowledge, so that the users can master the Windows system and the related browsers in Chinese language. The second part places emphasis on Chinese language study. Firstly, it aims at helping students read the online information more efficiently. Secondly, it assists students to communicate on line in Chinese. The topics of each chapter are carefully selected to cover the major aspects of our daily life, including the economic issues. Thirteen occasions of using Chinese on the internet are selected, each as a unit with four parts, including the example sentences, reading, notes and the supplementary materials. The language patterns and brief background introduction in each chapter are given as an integrated presentation.
The appendices list the most popular websites in various categories including career, employment and the HSK test.
